Viking gold ring c. AD 875 - 1100. A gold finger ring composed of two tapering, square-sectioned rods twisted together forming a penannular loop. One rod has a deep V-shaped notch, most likely a test cut. 27mm x 26mm, 7.7g. Approximate ring size: UK U, US 10. Found in Worcestershire and recorded on the PAS database as WAW-0C7587, Treasure number: 2016 T146.
Gold finger rings with twisted rods are found in the UK and Scandinavia, are dated from the late Early Medieval to early Medieval periods, (late 9th to 12th centuries) and can be associated with or influenced by the Vikings
